MEASUREMENTS BY MEANS OF 3D-LASER SCANNING DIGITAL STOCKTAKING

  • 3D-LASER MEASUREMENT IS DONE BY LEADING A CREATED LASER BEAM OVER THE TO BE MEASURED AREA. HEARBY, A DEFLECTION OF THE SENSED LASER IS BEAMED INTO TWO ORTHOGONAL DIRECTIONS. TOGETHER WITH THE ADDITIONALLY DETERMINED DISTANCE PARAMETER THIS DETERMINES THE 3D-POLAR COORDINATES.

 

  • THE GENERATED MEASURE POINTS REPRESENT A 3D-POINT CLOUD, FROM WHICH A DIGITAL 3D-MODEL CAN BE CREATED IN THE SUBSEQUENT MODELLING PROCESS.

 

  • THIS WAY OF STOCKTAKING ENABLES THE MEASUREMENT OF AN OBJECT‘S GEOMETRIES, DISTANCES AND HEIGHTS IN 3D-PRESENTATION.

 

  • AN ADDITIONAL CAMERA GENERATES PICTURES DURING THE SCAN PROCESS. CONSIDERING THE PERSPECTIVE THESE ARE CONGRUENT WITH THE POINT CLOUD. THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THE POINT CLOUD AND THE CAMERA PICTURES SHOWS LARGE DETAILS AND FINE STRUCTURES.
